Conventional mounting systems for rooftop tents use clamps and hardware that are difficult to access and all of that frustration usually means that once you mount your tent you will just carry it around with you forever.

With our new Rapid Release Tent Mount System installing and removing your roof top tent can be accomplished quickly allowing you to jettison the tent during the week for your work commute. Once installed you can simply unbolt the tent at the rear of the vehicle, slide the tent back, and lift it off the vehicle to store it until your next adventure.

Shedding that extra weight not only allows you to safely store your vehicle inside your garage at night, but it also means you aren't dragging your expensive mobile hotel around with you when you don't need it resulting in better mileage and less UV wear and tear on your tent.

When installed you have the peace of mind that your rooftop tent is secured to the vehicle with security fasteners to prevent tent theft and the hardware kit includes a specialized bit to deter theft of the tent.

The proprietary design of the Rapid Release Tent Mount System uses high-quality materials and precision manufacturing to secure even the largest rooftop tents to your rack under extreme trail use.

The Rapid Release Tent Mounting System is compatible with roof racks that utilize 2x1 cross bars and is verified to work with and includes hardware the following roof racks:

This product is not compatible with TRUSS bed rack systems that utilize the 2x2 cross bar.

Roof Top Tent Compatibility

The Rapid Release Tent Mounting System can be used to secure rooftop tents up to 250 pounds (113.5 Kg). dynamic (vehicle in motion) load rating. Static (Stationary) weights can exceed 1000 pounds (453 Kg).

In the drop-down menu, the "Standard" option is intended for use with and will repurpose the hardware included with your rooftop tent mounting tracks.

The iKamper 3.0 menu option refers to the mounting system provided with your iKamper rooftop tent. Please verify your factory-provided mounting system before ordering to ensure your Rapid Release Tent Mounting System includes everything you need to mount your iKamper Tent with a 3.0 Mounting System.

The iKamper 2.0 menu option refers to the mounting system provided with your iKamper rooftop tent. Please verify your factory-provided mounting system before ordering to ensure your Rapid Release Tent Mounting System includes everything you need to mount your iKamper Tent with a 2.0 Mounting System.

Once installed the Rapid Release Tent Mounting system adds only 1/2" (12mm) of overall height to the vehicle/rack/rooftop tent.
